Greetings!!

I wanted to let you know about some upcoming events during Social Justice Week.  Azusa Pacific University has the pleasure and honor of hosting Ambassador Tony Hall and Chaplain Barry Black on campus in late January and early February.  During their visits, the Advancement Office and Ministry and Service will be holding several events for faculty, staff, and students.  This is a great opportunity for your students to engage with some of the most influential leaders of our time.

Would you consider making this a part of your curriculum for the new school semester?  Or perhaps providing extra credit to students who attend?

Also, there will be a chance for a select group of students to have one-on-one conversations with Tony Hall and Barry Black in the late afternoon of their visits.  I would like to personally extend invitations to your students to be involved in this once in a lifetime opportunity.  If you would, please supply the names of 5 or more students who would be most interested in attending by January 4, 2007.

Thank you for your help in ensuring these events are a success.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Below are the dates and times for the events.  Also provided are Ambassador Tony Hall’s and Barry Black's biographies.

Sincerely,

Judith Velasquez
